Approval of the 2022 City Council Meeting Schedule

BACKGROUND:
The City Charter requires that City Council schedule a minimum of twelve regular meetings each year. Attached is a proposed schedule of City Council meetings for 2022.
When the first or third Monday falls on a federal holiday, the meeting is scheduled for the following Tuesday. Because the month of January has five Mondays, the second and fourth Mondays were selected, eliminating a conflict with Martin Luther King Jr. Day which falls on the third Monday.
The first meetings in July and August have been omitted, anticipating that Council will elect to continue the summer recess schedule. Similarly, the second meetings in November and December have been omitted, anticipating that Council will a schedule a recess during the holidays.
During the year, Council may schedule special-called meetings whenever necessary.
