Discussion - Entrance and Boardwalk Renderings

BACKGROUND:
Thanks to generous donation of Director Rene Champagne, the Foundation Board engaged Kimley-Horn (Consultant) to provide conceptual renderings for the park entrance feature, as well as a conceptual plan for waterfront pedestrian connectivity (boardwalk) between Veterans’ Community Park and the North Collier Boulevard/Herb Savage Bridge. The renderings for the entrance feature and boardwalk are attached.
The next step in the attached scope of work is for the Foundation Board to review the conceptual renderings and either approve the renderings or provide additional comments to the Consultant. Should the Board approve the renderings, city staff will coordinate with the Consultant’s construction manager to develop a cost estimate based on the approved conceptual plan.

RECOMMENDATION: Approve renderings and/or provide additional comment.
