Authorize the City Manager to Execute a Contract 2021-027 with IMR Development Corp./DBA Jennings Pipelining and Services for Sewer Manhole Rehabilitation Project in the Amount of $119,810.00
BACKGROUND:
The City of Marco Island owns and maintains approximately 290 miles of sanitary sewer mains and over 2,100 manholes. To ensure the sanitary sewer system is functioning properly, the W&S Department cleans repairs and lines the pipes, laterals, and manholes in the City’s wastewater collection system.
This project consists of the repair and rehabilitation of existing sanitary sewer manholes located a long of N. Barfield Dr. through Bluebird Ave up to Rose Ct, and Waikiki Ct. in Marco Island, Florida. A total of 31 existing manholes of approx. 4 ft in diameter and total 213 vertical feet need to be rehabilitated. And approx. 10 existing manholes need to be repaired.
This bid (ITB #2021-027) was advertised on 8/2/21, 978 suppliers were notified, 27 downloaded the bid package and on 8/26/21 City received the below three (3) bids:

All the above bids include $20,000 owner’s contingency allowance. City Staff reviewed the bids and recommended the award of Contract to IMR Development Corp./DBA Jennings Pipelining and Services which submitted the lowest, responsive, and responsible bid.
FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT: Funding for this project is provided in the approved FY 21 Water and Sewer Capital Improvement Program (CIP)/Sanitary Sewer Manhole Repair and Lining Improvement Program (Fund 430).
RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the City Manager to Execute a Contract 2021-027 with IMR Development Corp./DBA Jennings Pipelining and Services for Sewer Manhole Rehabilitation Project in the Amount of $119,810.00
