Approve the Thirty-Nine Tree Locations as Presented at Calusa Park.

BACKGROUND

 

In 2018 the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee presented the idea of a community food forest, later named the Calusa Park Citrus Garden. The Calusa Park Citrus Garden is intended to create beautification, culture, and be free for the community to enjoy. The project has received approval from City Council, and yearly funding has been allocated towards the Calusa Park Citrus Garden.

 

Additional locations at Calusa Park have been proposed as future sites to sow Citrus trees

RECOMMENDATIONApprove the thirty-nine locations as presented. Following approval, a representative from Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee will present the plan to City Council.
