BACKGROUND

The attached Resolution will authorize the City of execute a Local Agency Program Supplemental Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation for the construction of the Inlet Drive Sidewalk/Shared Use Pathway Project.

 

This Supplemental Agreement provides for an additional $168,569.00 in funds to cover the Construction bid cost overruns.  The total FDOT funding for this project is now $579,350.00, which coincides with the low bid for the project.

 

FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT

Funds for the project are contained within the proposed FY21 Capital Budget, if approved by the City Council.

 

RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends the adoption of the Resolution and the authorization for the City Manager to execute the Inlet Drive Sidewalk/Shared Use Pathway Project Local Agency Program Supplemental Agreement with the FDOT and to continue to advance the project in accordance with the City of Marco Island Construction Standards Handbook for Work Within the Public Right-of-Way.
