Approval of the Updated 2020 City Council Meeting Schedule

BACKGROUND: 

Attached is an updated schedule of City Council meetings for 2020.

When the first or third Monday falls on a federal holiday, the meeting is scheduled for the following Tuesday.  The meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, September 8^th has been rescheduled for Wednesday, September 9^th because the School District has a Budget Hearing on that date, which creates a conflict that Florida Statutes specifically prohibit.

The capital budget workshops have historically been held first as they could potentially affect operations.  Both budget workshops have been scheduled for June.

FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT:  N / A

RECOMMENDATION:  Approve updated 2020 schedule.

POTENTIAL MOTION:   “I move to approve the updated 2020 City Council Schedule.”
