Authorizing the Purchase of a New 2020 Ford F-150 Super Cab 4WD and Accessories per the approved Capital Improvement Program, “pay as you go”

BACKGROUND:
The Public Works Department is requesting capital finding to purchase a new 2020 Ford F-150 Super Cab 4WD truck to replace a current 2010 Ford F-350 truck with 57,351 miles that is in need of a costly engine replacement.
The purchase of this Ford F-150 will be handled through the SOURCEWELL (Formally NJPA) CONTRACT NO. 2020-120716 effective through September 30, 2020.
FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT:
FY20 Capital Improvement Program, G/L No. 3005410-606400-16098, which currently contains $46,264.75 for this purchase.
RECOMMENDATION:
Authorize the purchase of the new 2020 Ford F-150 Super Cab 4WD truck with accessories for an expense not to exceed $27,999.00.
POTENTIAL MOTION:
“I move to authorize the City Manager to execute the purchase order for the 2020 Ford F-150 Super Cab 4WD truck in an amount not to exceed $27,999.00.”
