Approval of Roadways to be Resurfaced in FY19

BACKGROUND: 

On an annual basis, the Public Works Director and the Construction Manager evaluate the remaining streets that were listed for resurfacing during an August 7th, 2017 presentation to City Council.  At that meeting, Council requested that the Director return each subsequent year to provide a list of the streets recommended to be resurfaced in the current fiscal year. 

 

For FY19 the Selected Roadways are Residential Group 3 (Area Map Attached)

 

Residential Group 3 is the top listed roadways in the fair condition category. 

 

 

FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT: 

Funding for this project is included with the FY19 “Pay as You Go” program under G/L 3005410-606300-16031 which contains $587,576.51.

 

RECOMMENDATION: 

Staff recommends that the Council accept the listed roadways for resurfacing during FY19.

 

POTENTIAL MOTION:  

“I move to direct the City Manager to prepare an Invitation to Bid for the streets listed as the FY19 Roadway Resurfacing Program”
