BACKGROUND

 

In accordance with Florida Statutes, Section 287.055, Consultants Competitive Negotiations Act, in 2014 City of Marco Island published a request for qualifications (RFQ 14-007) from Florida certified, licensed, and experienced engineering firms to provide water/wastewater treatment and hydrology engineering services for a various City projects.

 

All City of Marco Island engineering RFQ solicitations are open for qualified firms to join the engineering library at any time. City Council is asked to award a new contract to Rummel, Klepper & Kahl, LLP, who submitted their proposal on 4.19.2019, in the following categories: water/wastewater plant engineering; water distribution/wastewater collection systems engineering; groundwater, injection and ASR well design/analysis and permitting; regulatory permitting, reporting and engineering study preparation, and grant assistance.

 

FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT

There is no financial impact from the award of this contract. Funding for the individual engineering projects is included in each department’s operating and/or capital budgets.

 

RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends awarding a contract to Rummel, Klepper & Kahl, LLP for Water/Wastewater Treatment Engineering and Hydrology Services.
