BACKGROUND

The Beautification Advisory Committee  (BAC) has conducted their annual “Marco in Bloom” contest for the City of Marco Island.  The aim of the contest is to award the locations that have a Florida Friendly Landscape and also display the beauty of flowering plants on the island.  The BAC judged several factors for each property entered that are included in this type of landscape: low water usage, minimum grass, use of color, contrasting plants, judged from the street view only and creative yard art.
