Discussion - Public Notice Procedures Requiring U.S. First Class Certified Mail in the Land Development Code for Public Notice Procedures

Body

BACKGROUND

The Ad Hoc Business Development and Redevelopment Advisory Committee recommended eliminating U.S. First Class Certified Mail from the notice requirements in the Land Development Code (LDC). The Committee believed the cost was burdensome on the applicant. Certified mail is required by Section 30-62 (f) 2. (c) of the LDC as part of public notice procedures for Variances, Conditional Uses, and Neighborhood Informational Meetings.
