BACKGROUND: The existing purchase order was initially issued for $295,365. This amount needs to be increased by $65,800, bringing the total to $361,165, to accommodate additional maintenance work. This includes the excavation of an additional 6,100 cubic yards from the shoaled area within the sand trap, along with the placement of material on the beach berm and grading to the specified template. Earth Tech Enterprises, Inc. has been chosen for this project through a piggy-back arrangement under Collier County contract #21-7885.

The Collier County Board of County Commissioners approved a reimbursement of up to $350,000 using tourist tax funds.


FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT: All the necessary funds are available in the Tax District's budget. Funding for this Purchase Order will be provided by the Hideaway Tax District's "REPAIR & MAINTENANCE" G/L No. 150-5700-5371-524600. Reimbursement will be requested from Collier County upon completion of the work.
