BACKGROUND:
National Safe Boating Week is May 17-23, 2025.
Each year multiple organizations work together to promote a campaign focused on recreational boating safety.
Members from the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 95, Marco Island, and the Marco Island Sail and Power Squadron have educated many Marco Island community members and visitors on safe boating practices and how they can improve their boating skills.
Flotilla Commander, Mike Massey will accept the proclamation on behalf of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 95, Marco Island and Commander Chris Ricci will accept the proclamation on behalf of the Marco Island Sail and Power Squadron.
