Appointment and Reappointment of Members to Serve on the Board of Directors of the City of Marco Island Community Parks Foundation- Joan Taylor, City Clerk

BACKGROUND:
Five members were reappointed to the Marco Island Community Parks Foundation by City Council (Section 6.3 of the Articles of Incorporation, the Marco Island Community Parks Foundation) on September 8, 2025, through Resolution 25-40
The reappointed members include: Messrs. Erik Brechnitz, Rene Champagne, David Cox, Milke Ilitch Jr., and Jim Richards.
The Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee Chairman is a non-appointed Director on the Foundation. Ms. Dolores Siegel is the 2025 Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee Chairperson.
In addition to the above mentioned appointments, an additional appointment was made to ensure that 7 Directors are on the Foundation (Section 6.1(b)).
Mr. Greg Folley was nominated by Community Parks Foundation Chairperson, Erik Brechnitz and appointed by City Council to fill the 7th Director’s seat on the Marco Island Community Parks Foundation (Resolution 25-38, September 8, 2025).
Terms for Messrs. Erik Brechnitz, Rene Champagne, David Cox, Milke Ilitch Jr., Jim Richards, and Greg Folley expire September 7, 2027.
