BACKGROUND: 

 

Water conservation is an important component of a dependable water supply.

 

For the 27th year, the South Florida Water Management District in partnership with the State of Florida and the Florida Section of the American Water Works Association will highlight April as Water Conservation Month.  

 

This year, Water Conservation Month will focus is on ”Irrigation System Evaluations”, an effort that encourages citizens and businesses to look for greater efficiencies of water use with their irrigation systems.

 

The City of Marco Island supports April as Water Conservation month through a proclamation.
