BACKGROUND:
The City of Marco Island manages a network of approximately 290 miles of sanitary sewer mains and maintains over 2,100 manholes. Over time, these manhole structures can deteriorate, posing risks to the overall integrity of the sewer collection system. This project focuses on repairing and lining 38 existing manholes, each approximately 4 feet in diameter and totaling 207 vertical feet, located along N. Barbados Avenue, Polynesia Court, Meadowlark Court, Rockhill Court, Grapewood Court, and Brianwood Court in Marco Island, Florida.
B & J Lining, Inc., a contractor with over 18 years of experience, has been selected under the Sanitary Sewer Manhole Lining Services Contract (#2024-015) with the City. This contract is valid until July 2027.
FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT: Funding for this project is provided in the approved FY24 Water and Sewer Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Fund 430, Account: 430-5300-5356-60350-16125 - (Sanitary Sewer Manhole Repair and Lining).
RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the City Manager to Issue a purchase order to B & J Lining, Inc., for the Sewer Manhole Rehabilitation Project in the Amount of $199,025.00.
