BACKGROUND:
National Safe Boating Week is May 18 to May 24, 2024.
Members from the Marco Island Sail & Power Squadron and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 95, Marco Island have worked together for many years to teach safe boating practices and skills on Marco Island.
Nanette Rivera, Commander, America's Boating Club, Marco Island Sail & Power Squadron, Joe Riccio, Robert Williamson, Doug Johnson, Frank Ciriello, and Don Rice, from the Marco Island Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 95, and representatives of the following organizations/groups will attend the meeting to receive the proclamation:
Marco Island Fire and Rescue and Marine Group
Marco Island Sail & Power Squadron
Marco Island Police Department
Marco Island Yacht Club
Marco Island Civil Air Patrol, U.S. Air Force Auxiliary
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission
