BACKGROUND:
The city proposes the installation of additional sound panels at the Marco Island Racquet Center located at 1275 San Marco Road. This project will complete the sound mitigation surrounding 3 sides of the existing 8 pickle ball courts and provide a consistent and unified sound barrier around the area. The project includes the purchase of SLNCR sound panels, which will be installed along the East, West, and South sides of the courts. City Fleet and Facilities staff will complete the project including the removal of the existing Acoustiblok panels and installation of the new panels. The existing Acoustiblok panels will be repurposed and installed at the stadium court, allowing the city to maximize the use of existing materials while maintaining a consistent appearance and sound mitigation approach across the Racquet Center.
FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT:
The Racquet Center project will be funded through the existing Parks Capital budget under GL Account 300-5700-5720-606300-23801 or an outside donor depending on City Council direction to city staff.

RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommend awarding the contract to SLNCR Panels, LLC. in the amount of $40,841.00 and funding the Racquet Center sound panel installation project using the previously approved and budgeted Parks Capital funds or an outside donor depending on City Council direction to city staff.
