BACKGROUND: At the October 2, 2023 City Council meeting, Vice-Chairman Grifoni presented a white paper with the proposal to increase salaries for Council members. The first reading of the ordinance was held on December 4, 2023.
FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT: If the referendum was passed by the residents of Marco Island, the increased cost would be $41,200 the first year.
RECOMMENDATION: Approval of Ordinance 24-01 on second reading.
