BACKGROUND

 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

 

The project consists of demolishing the existing building due to damage sustained in Hurricane Ian and construct a new 5,911 square foot building for the Collier County Sherriffs marine unit.  The new building will contain office, storage and support area.  The site will include boat storage, dock facilities and parking.  Please find attached the application, civil plans, architectural plans, landscape plan, lighting plan, traffic impact statement and affidavit. 

 

 

FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT

 

Applicant has paid $5,295.55 in applicable fees.

RECOMMENDATION

 

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

 

Staff recommends the Planning Board approve SDP-24-000151, 990 N. Barfield Dr, with the following conditions:

 

1.                     Remove air releases on both sides of the road.

2.                     Light poles may not exceed 18 feet (including base) for vehicle areas and 14 feet (including base) for pedestrian areas.

3.                     Add two additional canopy trees, which are required, along the west property line.

4.                      Add a double hedge row, which is required, along the front C-Buffer.
