Assignment of Committee Leads for Early 2025 Committee Events/Activities (All)

BACKGROUND: At the Committee’s September 4, 2024 meeting, the Committee reviewed and discussed its high-priority initiatives for 2025, as well as several potential projects for investigation and consideration in the upcoming year.
Given that many of the Committee’s key events and activities occur early in the new calendar year, and in consideration of the potential that one or more Committee members’ role on the Beautification Advisory Committee will conclude with the election of new Councilors on the Marco Island City Council, the Committee agreed to identify volunteer Committee project leads for the following key, near-term, events and initiatives:
1) Marco In Bloom Awards Contest (first quarter, 2025)
2) Marco Nature Night (February, 2025)
3) Tree City USA Application Submission
The Committee may also identify Committee members who wish to volunteer to lead other important projects.
FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT: N / A
RECOMMENDATION: Volunteer to lead one or more of the Committee’s key initiatives.
POTENTIAL MOTION: None expected.
