Final Street Light Pole Banner Policy Review & Approval (J. Martin / J. Parrilli)

BACKGROUND: At the Committee’s July 9, 2025 meeting, Public Works Director Justin Martin distributed copies of the proposed City of Marco Island policy to manage the requests for deployment of banners on the City's light poles. He provided background on the impetus for the proposed policy, highlighted the proposed fee structure, and responded to a number of questions from members of the Committee.

 

At the Committee’s September 3, 2025 meeting, Public Works Director Justin Martin acknowledged and thanked the Committee members who provided input to his draft of the Street Light Banner Policy, and he committed to share a revised draft of this Policy with the members of the Committee prior to the Committee's October 1st meeting.

 

A final Committee review and approval of the proposed Street Light Banner Policy is expected at the Committee’s October 1st meeting prior to it being presented to the Marco Island City Council for its approval.

 

 

FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT: None.

 

 

RECOMMENDATION:  Approve the Street Light Banner Policy as presented.
