Discussion -  Possibility of Allowing Parking Facilities to the Public in Multi-Family Residential Districts and Churches Along the Beach Corridor - Daniel J. Smith, AICP, Director, Community Affairs

Body

BACKGROUND

The City Council requested staff to look at the potential for allowing multi-family residential districts and churches, along the beach corridor, parking facilities to the public.

Staff has provided a potential overlay map and amendments to the Land Development Code (LDC).

The two churches, within the overlay, are located in “Low Density Residential” as part of the Future Land Use Map, and do not allow non-residential or mixed-use developments. A Comprehensive Plan amendment would be required. A rezoning of the property and LDC amendments would also be required.

Deed restrictions may apply.
