Discussion - 2021 Annual Pavement Resurfacing Program

BACKGROUND:
Beginning in 2015, the Public Works Department instituted a program to evaluate the roadways on Marco Island based on visual inspections to identify different types of pavement distress and to create an annual project to resurface the most problematic areas.
This presentation will outline the proposed areas to be resurfaced during 2021.
FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT:
The FY21 approved Capital Improvement Program budget includes $1,609,136.32 under G/L No. 3005410-606300-16031 for the annual resurfacing program. This budget does include the additional $1,000,000.00 from the Infrastructure Sales Surtax.
RECOMMENDATION:
Accept the 2021 Annual Pavement Resurfacing Program suggested areas, and to proceed with the project.
POTENTIAL MOTION:
“I move to direct the City Manager to create the bid package and to advertise for the 2021 Annual Pavement Resurfacing Program.”
