BACKGROUND:
The Bayport-Tahiti Drainage Improvement Project has been part of the Public Works Department Master Drainage Plan for several years. The scope of the project is to upgrade existing pipe sizes, replace failed CMPs, and add additional pipes and inlets to relieve flooding in parts of the Bayport-Tahiti area that were not addressed by the 2015 project. Existing outfall at Shenandoah Waterway was upgraded with the Heathwood/San Marco intersection improvements and will not be modified. The civil engineering services related the City of Marco Island’s stormwater improvement program of this project is in the amount of $107,000.00.
FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for this design project is included within the FY24 Capital Improvement Program Account No. 3005410-606300-16028, Master Plan Drainage Citywide.

RECOMMENDATION:
Staff has reviewed the proposal and the scope of the work and recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager to prepare and approve the Purchase Order to American Engineering Consultants of Marco Island, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $107,000.00.
