BACKGROUND

 

The Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee (PRAC) and Staff will provide an update to Council regarding Capital Improvement Recommendations and Operational Updates in regards to the Marco Island Racquet Center.

 

Ms. Dolores Siegel (PRAC Chairperson) will update Council on fencing and sound barrier recommendations for the Racquet Center courts, with estimated pricing;

 

Ms. Samantha Malloy, Parks, Culture & Recreation Manager will provide Council an update with the Racquet Center member “waitlist”.

 

Dr. Casey Lucius, City Manager will provide Council with an overview of a software “app” that manages memberships and scheduling.

 

 

FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT:  N / A 

 

 

RECOMMENDATION:  Discuss recommendation and provide direction to staff based on possible scenarios:

 

1.                     Include capital improvements for Racquet Center fencing and sound barriers with the FY 27 budget recommendations for Council consideration

2.                     Provide more information regarding Membership and scheduling software
