BACKGROUND: 

Member Rohena will be briefing the committee with a presentation on water quality surveys in relation to this topic. In the past, he has focused on the benefits of surgical dredging and the many different options for pollution disposal.

At the August 20th, 2026 meeting, the Committee voted to have Member Rohena to draft a proposal for City Council’s approval to be presented at their next gathering.

RECOMMENDATION: Review and discuss topic. Determine Committee’s next steps.
