Title
Capital Projects Workshop - Casey Lucius, Interim City Manager
Body
BACKGROUND:
Coming out of the final FY 25/26 budget deliberations, Council identified several capital needs that could not be funded due to budget constraints. As a result, Council directed staff to prepare a recommended list of capital priorities projected over the next ten years. Council will review and rank these recommendations with community needs in mind.
To support that discussion, staff has organized the recommendations into three categories:
1. Proposed Capital Projects
2. Capital Projects Requiring Ongoing Maintenance
3. Capital Projects Considered but Not Recommended
A chart detailing projected spending across ten years has also been included.
The purpose of this workshop is to reach consensus on which capital projects should move forward.
In subsequent sessions, Council will evaluate funding strategies and determine how these approved projects will be financed.
