BACKGROUND:
The City of Marco Island submitted a request to the County for tourist development tax funds for the Tigertail Lagoon/Sand Dollar Island Ecosystem Restoration Project for fiscal year the County’s fiscal year 2024-2025
The Coastal Advisory Committee approved the request on May 9, 2024, and the Tourist Development Council will review the request on May 21, 2024 and make recommendations to approve funding these expenditures. The County is requesting that the City execute the attached Interlocal Agreement outlining the terms of this funding. The term of the agreement is from October 1, 2024 and shall remain effective until sixty (60) days after completion of the Project, but no later than September 30, 2025. The City Attorney has reviewed and approved the attached agreement.
FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT: Collier County will reimburse the City $350,000 for expenditures related to the project.
