BACKGROUND: 

The City Council requested at the October 6^th, 2025, meeting that the Beach & Coastal Committee review the Beach Management and Vehicles on the Beach City of Marco Island Code, Sec 54-36, Sec 54-38, and related Sec 54-61 through 54-88.

Specifically, to address issues:

Pre-set up of beach equipment by vendors.

Number of chairs, loungers, and umbrellas for use by vendors at locations.

Area of operations for beach vendors and equipment allowed.

Trailer use by beach vendors; number, operation times & storage locations.

Number of vehicles used by vendors

Use of beach carts. Clarify code.

Unpermitted structures that are being utilized by beach vendors

Volleyball nets that are set up next to dunes.
