BACKGROUND:
City Council directed staff to review swale parking with the Planning Board, in the Old Marco area (See attached map).
Discussion regarding traffic, restaurant patrons using the swales to park, residents using the swales to park, residential parking stickers, enforcement, and signage.
Police/Code staff were present to answer questions.
The Planning Board voted 6-0 to prohibit swale parking north of Old Marco Lane, in swale areas that are not improved with paved parking.

RECOMMENDATION: Direct staff to bring forward changes to the code, prohibiting parking in all unimproved swale areas north of Old Marco Lane.
POTENTIAL MOTION: Move to approve recommendation by Planning Board.
