BACKGROUND

Ms. Scotty Lynn Kelly, FCPC, MMC, CGSP, City Clerk of Sanibel and Southwest Florida District Director for the Florida Association of City Clerks (FACC), and City Council Chairman Palumbo, are awarding Joan Taylor with her pin and certificate for the Certified Municipal Clerks (CMC) designation.

The CMC designation from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IMCC) is a professional credential that recognizes competency of a municipal clerk’s responsibilities, which includes public records, local elections administration, council and committee administration and various operational elements within a municipality.  The typical timeframe to receive the CMC is 3 years, requiring at least 120 hours of approved education supplemented with written interpretations including practical applications, and related experience.
