BACKGROUND:

 

TranSystems Corporation was awarded the contract for Consulting Services for the review of the City’s Code of Ordinances on July 12, 2022. The total award of this contract was $58,250 which consisted of four Phases.

 

At the City Council’s April 24th workshop Council requested a proposal for implementing the following recommendations:

 

•                     Standardize and centralize penalties and abatement provisions.

•                     Standardize appeals and definitions

•                     Relocate sexual predator regulations and hurricane preparedness regulations

•                     Place fees and application requirements in separate documents

 

Jeff Katims of TranSystems presented us with a proposal and a revised Scope of Services and Phases (attached). The total cost for these additional Phases would be $23,750.

 

 

FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT: 

 

 

RECOMMENDATION:  Staff recommends accepting the revised Scope of Services and the associated Change Order.

 

 

POTENTIAL MOTION:   “I move to approve the Change Order for TranSystems in the amount of $23,750.”
