BACKGROUND: 

 

As part of the approval of the San Marco Planned Unit Development, 1.87 acres of land is to be developed as a city park, meeting the open space requirement of a PUD. The park is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.

 

Attached is Resolution 10-27, providing the policy for naming city facilities and parks.

 

Policy 4. D. reads that the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee (or other subcommittee appointed by City Council) shall evaluate proposed names of the parks and facilities and shall make recommendations to City Council.
