BACKGROUND:
At the Committee’s June 5 meeting, Committee Member Fiona Winter summarized the results of her investigation into "Adopt A Median" programs in operation in other cities in Florida, and she proposed that the Committee consider leveraging the learning of other communities that have implemented similar programs.
Ms. Winter also proposed that the Committee schedule a Workshop to more fully address and define the elements of an "Adopt A Median" program for Marco Island. Chair Connelly suggested that a date and the Committee’s plan for the proposed Workshop be discussed at a future meeting of the Committee.
FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT: N / A
RECOMMENDATION: Identify a date for the Workshop; discuss and determine the desired outputs from the Workshop.
