BACKGROUND:
This project is primarily funded by state legislative appropriation and serves to provide water quality treatment swales as identified in the nutrient source evaluation commissioned by the City. The project involves upgrading the existing storm drainage system by installing new pipes, storm structures, and "Bold and Gold" filtration media in the swales. These enhancements will address drainage challenges and improve overall water quality in the area.
This project (ITB #2024-033) was advertised on June 16, 2024. It was broadcast to 64 suppliers, 29 of whom downloaded the bid package. The City received four bids on August 2, 2024. Each bid included a $60,000 owner's contingency for unforeseen expenses.

Upon examining the submitted bids, city staff has determined that Infinite Construction, LLC is the lowest, most responsive, and responsible bidder. City staff recommends awarding the contract to Infinite Construction, LLC, for the Marco Island-San Marco Drainage Improvement project.
FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT: This project is funded through state legislative appropriation in the form of an FDEP grant agreement (LP1107B) and savings from the City's 2024 property and casualty insurance renewal. Funding will be allocated in account 300-5400-5410-606300-19063.
