Proclamation - Our Daily Bread Food Pantry - Presented to Allyson Richards, Board Chair, Our Daily Bread

BACKGROUND:
Our Daily Bread Food Pantry on Marco Island was established in 2016, with a vision to eliminate hunger and promote well-being.
Feeding America is a nationwide network that has declared the month of September as “Hunger Action Month,” and September 15th as “Hunger Action Day.”
In acknowledgement of Hunger Action Month and Hunger Action Day, Our Daily Bread Food Pantry is planning a month long Hunger Campaign to raise awareness and invite the community to join them in supporting their vision of “Working to Wipe Out Hunger”. Some planned events include multiple food drives, Visual Displays throughout Marco Island, and presentations to various clubs/groups on the local need.
The proclamation will be presented to Allyson Richards, Chair of Our Daily Bread Food Pantry, and Nancy Kot, Volunteers’ Director, as well as several Board Members and volunteers who will be in attendance.
