BACKGROUND:
Ordinance 04-05 established the Hideaway Beach Tax District, a dependent, special district, of the City of Marco Island, created to improve, renourish, preserve, maintain and monitor the beach property located within the boundaries of Hideaway Beach.
The governing board of the district, designed as the Board of Supervisors, is appointed by the City Council following the recommendations from the Hideaway Beach Associations’ Nominating committee. All board members must be residents of the district and serve without compensation.
The Hideaway Beach Associations’ Nominating Committee is recommending Mr. Rodd Schreiber to serve on the Board of Supervisors of the Hideaway Beach Tax District:
Mr. Rodd Schreiber is filling a vacancy created by Mr. Dick Delawder’s retirement from the Committee in March 2026. Mr. Rodd Schreiber shall complete the three-year term, ending March 31, 2027.
FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT: N / A
RECOMMENDATION: Approval of Resolution 26-15, making appointment to the Hideaway Beach Tax District Board.
