City Code Compliance Process to Address “Out-of-Compliance” Landscaping & Other Conditions (Marco Island Code Compliance Department)

BACKGROUND: At the Committee’s November, December, and January meetings, Committee Member Marv Needles raised concern and shared photographs of apparent commercial and residential property out-of-compliance conditions on Marco Island with members of the Beautification Advisory Committee.
Recent past Committee Chair Shelli Connelly requested that Committee Staff Liaison Justin Martin extend an invitation to a member of the Code Compliance Department to review the Department’s approach to addressing “out-of-compliance” commercial and residential landscaping and other conditions at the Committee’s February 5, 2025 meeting.
FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT: N / A
RECOMMENDATION: Receive the Code Compliance Department’s report.
