BACKGROUND:
Per Section 52-138 (a) of the Land Development Code, impact fees are required to be paid to the City before issuing a building permit. However, on execution of a written agreement approved by the City Council, impact fees may be deferred.
The YMCA of Collier County requests that the City approve the attached agreement, deferring the impact fee payment (Invoice 25-0060512 and permit COMM-24-06109) to the City until the YMCA requests a Certificate of Occupancy. The total amount is $141,251.59.
Permit COMM-24-06109 is for an addition to their building, approved through a Site Development Plan Amendment by the Planning Board.
The County has already approved deferring the County’s portion of the impact fees required.
