Title

Resolution - Adopting an Updated Schedule of Civil Penalties & Fines for Enforcement of the City’s Code of Ordinances Utilizing the Civil Violation Citation Procedure - Jeff Katims, Consultant, Research Director, GFK

Body

BACKGROUND

The updated Code of Ordinances eliminates specific civil penalty fines as part of the streamlining of the document. The City Council previously adopted a schedule of civil penalties by resolution. This Resolution amends the existing schedule of civil penalties by adding the penalty provided in the Code for violating the year-round irrigation restrictions. This Resolution also eliminates the short-term rental civil penalties, given the Council’s repeal of its short-term rental regulations in 2015.

FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT:   According to fine identified in resolution.
