BACKGROUND:
City Staff will provide an overview of City processes and procedures, Florida’s Sunshine Law, public records requirements, and ethics applicable to elected officials.
The goal of the onboarding process is to familiarize newly elected officials with City and State practices, clarify roles, and provide newly elected-Council members with references, resources, and guidance that will support them in performing their duties and in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and City policies.
Staff from the IT Department will also provide City issued devices to newly elected Council members, with instructions for set up.
