Resolution - Approving Appointments to the Hideaway Beach Tax District Board - Joan Taylor, City Clerk

BACKGROUND:
Ordinance 04-05 established the Hideaway Beach Tax District, a dependent, special district, of the City of Marco Island, created to improve, renourish, preserve, maintain and monitor the beach property located within the boundaries of Hideaway Beach.
The governing board of the district, designed as the Board of Supervisors, is appointed by the City Council following the recommendations from the Hideaway Beach Associations’ Nominating committee. All board members must be residents of the district and serve without compensation.
The Hideaway Beach Associations’ Nominating Committee is recommending the following Hideaway Beach property owners to serve on the Board of Supervisors of the Hideaway Beach Tax District:
Ms. Phyllis Ramirez
Mr. Steve Zinkan
The members shall serve a three-year term, beginning April 1, 2025, and ending March 31, 2028 (Ordinance 20-01).

RECOMMENDATION: Approval of Resolution 25-19, making appointments to the Hideaway Beach Tax District Board.
