BACKGROUND: 

During the February 18, 2025, City Council meeting, Council members approved converting the  Ad Hoc Bike Lanes and Shared Path Committee into a formal Committee pursuant to Section 2-201 of the City of Marco Island Code of Ordinances.  The formalized Committee shall be known as the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee.   Organized in 2006, this Committee has proven to be a valuable contributor  at promoting safety and pathway access for both bike riders and pedestrians throughout Marco Island.

FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT:  N / A

RECOMMENDATION:  Approval of Resolution 25-15, creating the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee.
