Presentation - Parks Master Plan - Dr. Carlos Perez

BACKGROUND:
Dr. Carlos Perez of Perez Planning and Design LCC will provide a presentation of the Parks Master Plan. Dr. Perez was hired in late 2023 to conduct surveys and collect public input on parks facilities and programming. Several public meetings were held in January 2024. In July 2024 Dr. Perez presented his initial findings to City Council. In October 2024, he presented his final presentation and recommendations. No action was taken at that time by City Council.
Given the elections and four new members of the City Council, we have asked Dr. Perez to present his findings and recommendations. His presentation is attached.
FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT: This project was funded in FY24 in the amount of $90,000.
RECOMMENDATION: Receive presentation and provide direction.
