BACKGROUND:
On November 6, 2023, the City of Marco Island approved a purchase order to QE for the replacement of a 20-inch pipe and valves between the influent storage tanks No. 2 and No. 3, located at the Reclaimed Water Production Facility, in the amount of $49,900.
During the initial excavation, it was discovered that the pipe to be replaced was encased in concrete. As a result, the contractor required additional material and time to proceed with the work, as well as the isolation of influent storage tanks 2 and 3. Due to the proximity to the high season and hurricane season, this work was postponed until December 2024. The change order amount is $2,500 to cover the additional mobilization fee.
