BACKGROUND:
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Applicant is requesting Site Development Plan (SDP) approval for a new building located at 1040 Winterberry Drive, to replace the Marco Island Tax Collector office heavily damaged by Hurricane Ian. The land is currently zoned Commercial Professional (C-1) and the damaged structure has remained unoccupied since the hurricane.
FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT:
Applicant has paid $5,492.20 in applicable fees.

RECOMMENDATION:
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Planning Board approve SDP-24-000008 with the following conditions:
1. Obtain an environmental survey prior to any site work to verify the presence of protected species or lack thereof.
2. Vibratory compaction shall not be allowed within the right-of-way.
