BACKGROUND: 

Pursuant to Section 22-54 “Board of Trustees” under Article III, Firefighters’ Pension Plan, the Marco Island Code of Ordinances, the Firefighters’ Pension Board of trustees shall consist of five persons. Two of the trustees shall be legal residents of the City who shall be appointed by the City Council, one of whom shall be the City Clerk.   Joan Taylor, the City Clerk of the City of Marco Island is a legal resident of Marco Island.

FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT:  N / A

RECOMMENDATION:  Approve Resolution 24-27.

POTENTIAL MOTION:  “I move to approve Resolution 24-27 appointing City of Marco Island City Clerk, Joan Taylor, to the Firefighters’ Pension Board.”
