Approval of Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) to Provide School Resource Officers for Marco Island Schools - Tracy Frazzano, Police Chief

BACKGROUND:
These Memorandums of Understanding are by and between the District School Board of Collier County, the Marco Island City Council, and the Marco Island Police Department for the 2025 school year, to provide security services to Tommie Barfield Elementary School, Marco Island Charter Middle School, and Marco Island Academy. Amounts paid to the City are based on a State Funding Formula that prescribes an amount per student FTE (full-time equivalent) for the school year.
FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT: Approximately $43K in revenue for each year.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Memorandum of Understanding as presented.
POTENTIAL MOTION: I move to approve the Memorandums of Understanding for the 2025 school year.
