Approve an Amendment to the Unity Park Foundation Charitable Agreement, Casey Lucius, Ph.D., Assistant City Manager

BACKGROUND:
In May 2022 the City received a donation from the Unity Park Foundation to supplement the bandshell at Veterans Community Park and provide naming rights for the bandshell. To date $700,000 has been received and approximately $30,000 has been spent on the sign and lighting and sound equipment.
The proposed amendment accomplishes two purposes:
1. Allocates $100,000 of the donated funds to programming and $25,000 for advertising
2. Outlines a payment schedule for the final $300,000
FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT:
No impact on the City’s budget, but will allow for additional programming at Veterans Community Park without impacting the Parks and Recreation operating budget.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the proposed amendment to the Unity Park Foundation Charitable Agreement.
